How does the process work?

1. Send me the final version of your mixed track (or tracks)
WAV (or AIFF) audio file at the native sample rate (24-bit preferred). Make sure to leave some headroom on the master bus (around -3 to -6 dBFS) to avoid clipping, and turn off any limiting or heavy compression on the master bus.

2. First pass
Singles can take up to 3-5 business days, but are often done sooner depending on workload and the needs of the track. EPs run 5-7. Album timelines are worked out per project. The clock starts once all your files are in (and deposit has cleared, if applicable).

3. Revisions (included)
Each track includes 3 rounds of revisions. A round consists of one consolidated list of notes from a single designated sender. Additional revisions beyond that are $35 each.

4. Final delivery
You receive the final masters and any alternates, cleanly labeled and release-ready. Please credit clearly wherever you can (Mastering Engineer: Justin Adams). Also, when it's out, I'd appreciate it if you sent the link and cover art so I can share it!
How do I send you my mix file/files?
Over on the contact page, there is a section where you can paste a shareable link to your mix/mixes for me to download.
What audio files do I get back?
Each track you submit is delivered back to you and includes the following three formats: A full-quality WAV master (24-bit), a CD-quality WAV (16-bit/44.1kHz), and a reference MP3. Add-ons such as instrumentals, clean edits, pre-vinyl masters, and DDP images are also available.
How does payment work?
Singles are paid in full before delivery of the final masters. EPs and albums require a 50% deposit upfront, with the balance due before finals are released. Full, high-quality masters are shared for review and approval before final payment. Downloadable files will be unlocked once final payment is received.
What are DDP images and pre-vinyl masters? Do I need them?
If you're releasing digitally only, you don't need either. If you want a CD or vinyl made of your EP/album, continue reading...
A DDP image file is used by a CD pressing plant to put your EP/album onto disc for official release.
A pre-vinyl master is an alternate version of your main master that's specially designed to be sent to a vinyl pressing plant. Vinyl is pickier than digital, and I make sure your track will hold up on vinyl and not cause problems for the cutting engineer.
I don't press the CDs or vinyl myself but will provide you with the necessary files to take to a CD or vinyl pressing plant.
